Prior to joining Barclay Street, Andy Chan was a Leasing and Property Manager with the City of Edmonton where he negotiated lease agreements with the Province of Alberta, Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), Edmonton Public Library, NAIT, HeadCount Corporation, Apex Engineering, and Graphene Leaders Canada, to name a few. A significant portion of his real estate portfolio included the leasing and property management of the Edmonton Research Park, a 243-acre campus for research and development facilities.
Additionally, he was a Property Assessor with the City of Edmonton and was involved with the mass appraisal of multi-family properties for property taxation purposes. He is familiar with municipal processes and policies, as well as the property assessment-taxation appeal processes.
Prior to entering the public real estate sector, Andy was in a junior sales role with DTZ Barnicke (Toronto), where he was involved with over 200,000 sq.ft. of office and industrial leasing, and 80,000 sq.ft. of office sales.
Andy Chan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce and a specialization in Real Estate. Constantly looking to further his real estate skillset Andy has achieved various real estate professional designations including: Real Property Administrator (RPA), LEED AP, WELL AP, and Post Graduate Certificate in Property Valuation.
Erik A.M. Dobrovolsky entered to Calgary commercial real estate market in 2012 as a downtown office leasing broker. In 2014 he left the downtown market to oversee the southern Alberta assets of a large, private industrial Landlord where he developed a passion for industrial real estate leasing and sales. Returning to brokerage with Barclay Street after competently stewarding the portfolio for several years, he brings a comprehensive understanding and skill set to his team.
Erik grew up in Edmonton, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Vlerick Business School in Brussels, Belgium. After completing his masters degree Erik returned to Alberta, immediately entered the Calgary real estate market and has since been involved in leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and new construction activity.
Through Erik’s specialized experience, he has gained a wide-ranging understanding of both the Calgary market and the underlying issues facing both tenants and landlords. Erik’s experience and education allows him to provide extremely effective advice and due diligence consulting to all his clients.
Outside of the office, Erik is an executive with his rugby club and volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations. Erik has extensive overseas experience including interning with the World Wildlife Fund in Nepal and riding his bicycle from Cairo, Egypt to Cape Town, South Africa.
Doug Grinde began his commercial real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate 20 years ago when he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since joining the company, Doug has become an invaluable asset working closely with the Calgary team and is now heading up the Edmonton office as the Vice President for the region.
With a farming background in rural Alberta, Doug knows what it means to work hard and treat people with integrity - his clients are no exception. Although his career started in Calgary, Doug found a niche for himself in Edmonton where his broad experience has helped reposition Barclay Street in the greater Edmonton market.
Additionally, as a senior sales advisor, Doug works closely with clients through the Alberta corridor and provides them with meaningful solutions while offering honest, knowledgeable advice. His knowledge comes from years of diverse transactions including new development projects, complex sale transactions and large leasing assignments.
Currently, Doug lives in Edmonton with his wife and 3 children where they are actively involved in the local equestrian community and taking part in a variety of outdoor activities.
Murray brings over 25 years of development in commercial property sales and leasing, build to suit and land development. Murray has perennially been a performer throughout his career, with Top Producer awards from both of his previous firms.
He entered business in 1987 after graduating in Economics at the University of Alberta and pursuing an athletic career, Murray has been actively involved in exclusive landlord/tenant representations, build to suit projects and land sales.
A long time Alberta family, Murray's many interests include his wife and 2 young children, the cottage and many sporting activities.
Jon Mook started his real estate career in 1998 and has built a reputation in Alberta based on integrity, professionalism and above all results. Throughout his career, Jon has headed over 700 transactions in the sales and leasing of industrial properties resulting in hundreds of satisfied clients.
As a local development expert, he has completed 20 design build facilities where he has played a key role from start to finish of the project, giving Jon in-depth experience in the development of industrial facilities. Currently, he has 7 design build projects underway.
As the Executive Vice President of Barclay Street Real Estate's Industrial division, Jon leads a team of dedicated industrial professionals who place service and integrity above all else. The team is committed to helping clients with all services including land and building acquisitions and dispositions, design build facilities/land development and leasing, subleasing and renewals within multi-tenant buildings.
Over the years, Jon has gained the esteem and admiration of his clients and colleagues by demonstrating a strong attention to detail and high degree of market insight in every transaction he negotiates.
Through all stages of a transaction, Jon exercises due diligence to ensure his client’s needs are fully met and all the documentation is complete and accurate. With extensive experience in both the leasing and sales processes in the industrial market, Jon has gained a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all facets to assist with client inquiries from tax appeals to valuations to financing.
Outside of work, Jon is a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife of 12 years and 3 children. Often he can be found at the rink watching his kids play hockey or attending other events such as competitive gymnastics, karate and dance.
With over 15 years in the real estate market, Ann-Marie Muldoon has gained a well rounded understanding of the industry. In 1997, she started her career with Barclay Street and after a period with another real estate firm, found her way back to Barclay Street. As the Executive Assistant to Jon Mook for the past 11 years, Ann-Marie works closely with Jon on his Design Build Projects and also assists the Industrial team ensuring the office is running smoothly and all clients’ needs are met. Currently, Ann-Marie is working to complete her Property Management certification at Mount Royal University.
When not in the office, Ann-Marie enjoys outdoor activities with her family including swimming, biking and skiing and partaking in fun family road trips.
In 2008, Jolene moved to Calgary from British Columbia and entered the real estate market as the Executive Assistant to Jon Mook. In 2012, Jolene moved into the role of Marketing Coordinator for the Industrial Division where she works very closely with the team on the development of marketing strategies and material. In her role, she ensures the team is equipped with communication material that will effectively market their client’s property and displays the highest degree of professionalism. Jolene completed her Graphic Designer Certification from the University of Calgary.
Outside of work, Jolene enjoys getting out to the mountains whenever possible for hiking and has a passion for diving and international travel.
Casey Stuart has been in the Calgary real estate market since 2008 and has negotiated over 275 industrial real estate transactions totaling over $300 million. As a Vice President on Barclay Street Real Estate’s Industrial team, Casey provides a high level of market intelligence to his clients and ensures they have all the tools they need to make educated decisions through the entire process.
Casey grew up in Saskatoon and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction and majored in Finance. After graduating, he entered the Calgary real estate market and has since transacted over 2.5 million sq. ft. of industrial space and played a key part in the sale of Alberta’s largest industrial building to transaction in 2011.
As a local industrial expert, Casey has gained a comprehensive understanding of the Calgary landscape through a lot of hard work, and can efficiently assist Barclay Street’s clients with a broad range of services. With extensive experience in both sale and lease transactions, Casey has successfully represented both tenants and landlords in leasing negotiations, coordinated facility and land acquisitions, and provided guidance during the due diligence process.
When not in the office, Casey enjoys getting outside and exploring new adventures with friends and family, particularly snowboarding and snowmobiling in the winter, and travelling to new destinations in the summer. He enjoys playing basketball and golf whenever possible.
