Prior to joining Barclay Street, Andy Chan was a Leasing and Property Manager with the City of Edmonton where he negotiated lease agreements with the Province of Alberta, Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), Edmonton Public Library, NAIT, HeadCount Corporation, Apex Engineering, and Graphene Leaders Canada, to name a few. A significant portion of his real estate portfolio included the leasing and property management of the Edmonton Research Park, a 243-acre campus for research and development facilities.
Additionally, he was a Property Assessor with the City of Edmonton and was involved with the mass appraisal of multi-family properties for property taxation purposes. He is familiar with municipal processes and policies, as well as the property assessment-taxation appeal processes.
Prior to entering the public real estate sector, Andy was in a junior sales role with DTZ Barnicke (Toronto), where he was involved with over 200,000 sq.ft. of office and industrial leasing, and 80,000 sq.ft. of office sales.
Andy Chan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce and a specialization in Real Estate. Constantly looking to further his real estate skillset Andy has achieved various real estate professional designations including: Real Property Administrator (RPA), LEED AP, WELL AP, and Post Graduate Certificate in Property Valuation.
Since joining Barclay Street Real Estate in 1987, Bill Falagaris has become a respected leader among his clients, colleagues and fellow brokers and developed a reputation based on his professional and honourable approach to his clients and the business.
As a veteran Leasing Associate, Bill specializes in Downtown and Beltline areas in Calgary and has leased over 3 million square feet throughout his career. With a degree in Business from Mount Royal University and 30 years of client relation experience, Bill has a comprehensive understanding of inner workings of a business and how to find real estate solutions that will help a business prosper.
Over the years, Bill has gained extensive experience representing both the tenant and landlord in the leasing process. As a representative of landlords, Bill has acted as exclusive agent for a number of office buildings and successfully leased his listings to 100% occupancy. As a representative of tenants, Bill has assisted many clients with leasing negotiations for new spaces and for their existing premises so they reach an agreement that helps them achieve their real estate goals.
Outside of work, Bill is a family man at heart and spends much of his free time doing many activities with his family. He also is a sport and auto racing enthusiast.
February 2015, Cassandra joined the Barclay Street Team in the capacity of Administrative Assistant. Her primary focus in database management and broker support encouraged her transition to the Suburban and Beltline Office Leasing Team. With a BBA in Marketing and General Management and a minor in Financial Services, Cassandra brings a breadth of perspective and outside-the-box thinking to the team. As a Leasing Assistant, Cassandra’s primary efforts are creating a branding and marketing strategy for her team, providing support in documentation execution and focusing on Landlord representation.
With a strong business analysis background and 15 years in commercial real estate, Dan offers a full-service solution for his clients to meet all their real estate needs. With a client-centered approach Dan has become a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry and has been featured in many media pieces for his knowledge and understanding of the local market.
After graduating in 1993 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Dan worked in managerial positions in commercial lending at HSBC Bank of Canada in Calgary, Kingston and Toronto. Dan decided he could offer a greater value in business by switching to commercial real estate market and joined the Barclay Street team in 2001. In 2005 Dan was invited to become a partner at Barclay Street and has since enjoyed an active role in the company.
Dan has leased over 2.5 million square feet and sold over $100 million in real estate sales in over 600 transactions representing both tenant and landlords in many complex transactions. With the unique blend of commercial lending experience and real estate assignments, Dan offers his client’s a unique perspective so he fully understands their business and effectively advocates and negotiates for their best interests.
As an art enthusiast and community activist, Dan has spearheaded many community initiatives through Barclay Street and personally including music, film and festival sponsorships.
With nearly 35 years of commercial real estate experience and millions of square feet leased, Ian Robertson has helped hundreds of businesses make educated real estate decisions and has become a respected expert in the Calgary market.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of New Brunswick, Ian entered the commercial real estate industry and has gained an array of experience in leasing, sales, and property management. Ian’s history with Barclay Street dates back to the company’s predecessor having joined in 1984.
As a Leasing Negotiator in the Suburban Calgary area, Ian helps his clients locate office space of all sizes and purposes. With extensive experience in both tenant and landlord representation, Ian has gained a full understanding of the leasing process so he can best represent his client’s interests and negotiate diligently for an optimal outcome.
Ian has earned a solid reputation among clients, landlords, competitors and industry stakeholders that is built on his high ethical standards, trustworthy demeanour and unwavering client support. Outside of the real estate industry, Ian has been an active member in his community through his support of local hockey and soccer teams as coach and mentor.
Joining Barclay Street in June 2014, Chris Rundle began as a Research Analyst. His background in research and his understanding of the leasing industry propelled his successful transition to Associate with the Suburban and Beltline Office Leasing Team in January 2016. Chris’s educational background in Finance and Economics gives him an inordinate understanding of the transactional world of real estate and a succinct understanding of market trends. Chris’s primary focus is in Beltline and Suburban transactions and Tenant and Landlord representation. With an innate desire to provide personable and professional service, Chris is an example of a broker working in the best interest of his client’s.
